HÜDA PAR leader denounces Madleen raid as “Israeli piracy”

HÜDA PAR President Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu has issued a sharp condemnation of Israel’s assault on the humanitarian aid vessel Madleen, calling the raid in international waters a “crime not only against the passengers of the ship but against the conscience of all humanity.”
In a strongly worded statement posted to social media, Yapıcıoğlu denounced the Israeli regime’s interception of the Gaza-bound aid ship as both "unlawful" and "inhumane," urging the international community to move beyond symbolic protests and take meaningful action.
“This attack is not just against those aboard the Madleen, it is a blow to global morality,” he said. “It is unacceptable that countries whose citizens were aboard the ship only limit their response to weak calls for release. This passive stance only emboldens the Zionist regime.”
Yapıcıoğlu further stressed that silence in the face of Israel’s aggression is tantamount to complicity.
“Remaining silent, watching from the sidelines, or waiting for developments in the face of this grave situation is nothing short of being a partner in the crime,” he warned.
The Madleen, part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, was intercepted by Israeli forces while en route to Gaza with humanitarian supplies. The ship carried international volunteers—including Turkish nationals—aiming to break the Israeli blockade and deliver urgently needed aid to Palestinians suffering under siege.
Yapıcıoğlu joined growing international calls for the immediate release of all detained passengers and demanded that the Israeli regime be held accountable for what he described as a “clear act of piracy.”
Going further, the HÜDA PAR leader called on world governments to take coordinated steps to challenge the blockade on Gaza and ensure that humanitarian aid can reach the population without obstruction.
“Governments must take real steps to break the inhumane siege on Gaza. New aid flotillas must be launched immediately—and this time, escorted and protected by warships from nations not subjugated by Zionist influence,” he said.
The statement comes amid mounting global outrage over the ongoing blockade of Gaza, repeated attacks on aid missions, and the deepening humanitarian catastrophe facing more than 2 million Palestinians trapped under siege. (ILKHA)
